He is a graduate of Wyandotte High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education with a minor in Counseling and Psychology from Western Baptist Bible College in Kansas City, Mo, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude.
Rev Marshall accepted his call to ministry in 1981. He is the former Senior Pastor of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Humboldt, KS. He served as the former Treasurer for the Kansas State Congress of Christian Education as well as other district and state positions.
Rev Marshall served as the Director of Christian Education and Youth Pastor for East Saint Paul Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. During his tenure at East Saint Paul, he formed a Grief and Recovery Ministry, coordinated workshops and seminars and provided counseling to both adults and youth.
On March 20, 2016 Rev Marshall entered the pulpit at Corinth Baptist Church and has since that time served faithfully as its pastor. Among other things, he implemented a Mentorship program at Corinth to continue to develop leaders to be servants for Kingdom building work for our Lord. At Corinth he has expressed his passion for the homeless. He has participated in efforts to bring about the plight of the homeless across this country. He has also assisted with events to raise funds for Aids for Africa and the Invisible Children of Uganda. In 2018 Rev Marshall completed the CAPA (Clergy and Police Alliance) program sponsored by the Fort Worth, TX Police Department. This program is integral in helping to bridge the gap between our communities and law enforcement in an effort to build better relationships which will hopefully, reinforce trust and respect and partnership for a better city. On August 25, 2019 Rev Marshall was cited for his work in Fort Worth and was inducted into the Juneteenth Gallery Museum as a valued Treasure of Texas. In December of 2019 he was certified by the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc Sunday School Publishing Board to teach courses at the national, state and district levels to continue his efforts to educate the children of God in rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Rev Marshall preaches powerful, uplifting sermons which have assisted “the lost” in accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and have encouraged others to strengthen their relationship with God. He believes that his blessing comes through his servant's heart for the sheep and his attitude and lifestyle of humility. In his service to accomplish the ministerial assignment God has set before him, he emphasizes the fact that, the church is a hospital to help heal the hurting rather than a hospice to watch them die. He truly believes that, "nothing shall separate him from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord: (Romans 8:39)
Rev Marshall is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals fan and proudly wears their colors in Cowboy and Ranger territory. Rev Marshall is married to the former Delicia Brown. They are the proud parents of three wonderfully unique children; Jesse, Regan and Quincy.
His desire for the Corinth family is that we truly do embrace the motto that,
"We are more than a church. We are a family!"
To God be the glory!
